ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Applicants are required to:

  1. Complete the UCC Global Official  Online Application   Form   related   to programme option.
  2. Pay processing fee (if applicable).
  3. Provide certified copies of Academic Qualification (Where preliminary results slips are submitted, official transcripts must be requested from Overseas Examination Commission.)
  4. Submit certified copy of Marriage Certificate (where applicable).
  5. Submit certified copy of Birth Certificate
  6. Submit certified copy of name change documents (where applicable).
  7. Submit certified copy of divorce related documents (where applicable).
  8. One (1) recent Passport-size photograph
  9. Completed and Signed Placement Offer – Response Form
  10. Completed and Signed Enrolment Contract
  • Secondary (High) School diploma, GED, or Certificate of Equivalency / Proficiency or Passes in 5 GCE O Level / CSEC passes at A, B or C including Mathematics and English or International Baccalaureate (IB) or equivalent (subject to UCC Global’s approval)
  •  Official Transcripts of all secondary school (and other universities) coursework and grades (translated in English). “Official” means that the applicant must request that his school send transcripts directly to the UCC Global’s Registry (registry@uccglobal.co)
  •  The language of instruction at UCC Global is English. Applicants whose most recent education was not in English will be required to demonstrate English Language proficiency, through the completion of an approved English testing regime such as, the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). Both TOEFL Paper-based (PBT) and TOEFL Internet-based (IBT) will be accepted.
  • Must have an accredited Bachelor’s degree
  • Official Transcripts of all post-secondary school, university level coursework and grades (translated in English). “Official” means that the applicant must request that his school send transcripts directly to the UCC Global’s Registry (registry@uccglobal.co)
  • The language of instruction at UCC Global is English. Applicants whose most recent education was not in English will be required to demonstrate English Language proficiency, through the completion of an approved English testing regime such as, the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). Both TOEFL Paper-based (PBT) and TOEFL Internet-based (IBT) will be accepted.

All students applying for undergraduate programs must submit the following entry requirements:

  • An application fee (non-refundable) of US$100
  • Application for Admission
  • High school diploma, GED, or Certificate of Equivalency / Proficiency (with minimum Grade Point Average of 2.5 from high school)
  • Passes in 5 GCE O Level passes at A, B or C including Mathematics and English or International Baccalaureate (IB) or other international qualification deemed equivalent (subject to UCC approval)
  • One electronic passport size photo
  • Copy of passport information page
  • Financial documentation demonstrating that the student can support him/herself during his/her stay in Jamaica (to be sent along with completed UCC Affidavit of Support Form)
  • Official Transcripts of all secondary school (and other universities) coursework and grades (translated in English). “Official” means that the applicant must request that his school send transcripts directly to the UCC Registry (registry@ucc.edu.jm OR uccadmissions@ucc.edu.jm). These transcripts must be evaluated by one of the following organizations:
    • http://www.acei1.com
    • http://www.ierf.org
    • http://www.wes.org

The language of instruction at UCC is English. Applicants whose first language is not English will be required to demonstrate English Language proficiency, through the completion of an approved English testing regime such as, the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL).

A mark of 500 in the TOEFL Test, not exceeding two years, will be accepted as equivalent to and in place of, an acceptable CXC/GCE pass in English Language. All costs related to the TOEFL Test must be borne by the candidate. UCC reserves the right to request candidates to complete its own English Language Proficiency Test in addition to the TOEFL Test.
