The Google Career Launchpad programme provides no-cost training focused on generative AI and other in-demand digital skill areas. UCC states that the courses were developed by experts from across Google, including Google DeepMind’s AI Research Foundations and Google Cloud learning programmes.
Participants may choose one or more courses based on their learning needs. The programme is intended to help learners prepare for an AI-driven work environment and build knowledge across AI, data, cybersecurity, computing and cloud-related areas.
Entry and certification
The programme is suitable for participants with limited exposure to AI. UCC lists the overall offering as open-entry, while also noting that some individual courses may require prerequisites.
After completing a course, participants may go further and complete the relevant Google examination to receive Google certification and recognition.
